The office was set up by Mr. Pedro-Alfonso Garcia-Valcarcel y Escribano and his uncle, the late Mr. Blas García Valcárcel, who had exercised his profession as a solicitor since November 6, 1946. After graduating in Law from Murcia University in June 1968, at the age of 21, Mr. García-Valcarcel y Escribano started out as an apprentice in the legal sector, working as an assistant lawyer for his uncle, where he stayed for four years, until becoming a fellow of the Bar Association of Murcia on March 24, 1972 and starting to work as a solicitor. Consequently, the office was founded as the result of longstanding experience and youthful enthusiasm. For thirty-six years the office underwent considerable growth and many new employees joined the company, who were employed, first as assistant lawyers and later, became excellent and prestigious professionals in their own right. At the present time, the office has four solicitors: Mr. Pedro-Alfonso García-Valcárcel y Escribano, Mrs. Raquel García-Varcárcel y Ruiz de la Cuesta, Mr. Miguel Cáceres Sánchez and Mrs. Olga Martínez Martínez. Recently, Mr. Santiago Bastida López joined the team, as an expert in the field of civil medical liability. The office has a lion as its emblem, which traditionally embodies the idea of nobility. Being noble implies being distinguished, illustrious, generous, honest and worthy of esteem. On the other hand, a lion acts with extreme ferocity in defining the interests of its family, pride and of course, its own, while showing great tenderness and patience with its cubs. This is the ideal value that governs the activities of our office. |
